  1. MarvelD3 sequences were retrieved from Genbank and aligned using ClustalW (see Fig. 1 for a selection of the alignments). Indicated are all Genbank accession numbers. The scores reflect percent identity. For mammals, the two alternatively spliced isoforms were used. Two different MarvelD3 genes, variants A and B, exist in chicken. Only variant A was found in X. laevis and zebrafish.
